Student profile – Remya Ramesh Chithra

Program: Master of Computer Science

I was attracted to the Master of Computer Science at RMIT, because of its wide range of courses and flexibility to mix theory concepts and practical work, which are highly regarded in the workplace.

The Master of Computer Science program is designed to suit students from both IT and non-IT backgrounds. It prepares non-IT students for a career in IT. For those with IT background, the program can be a huge leap in their professional growth.

Academic success is not, however, all that matters. Employers look for more than academic ability. They look for people who are confident, team players and well-rounded. By being involved in Student Staff Consultative Committee [SSCC], Student Leadership Program [SLP] and MATE program, I’m having fun and making myself more employable at the same time.

I intend to work as a Security Consultant/Computer Forensic Analyst and believe by majoring in ‘Security in Computing’, I’m one step closer to my dream job. An education at RMIT is giving me the opportunity to shape my own future and walk my own path.
