Draft awarding degrees with honours or pass with distinction – closed for comment

Two changes to the Awarding degrees with honours or pass with distinction policy are proposed.

1. Removal of the section on determining honours levels for one year honours programs, as this is now covered by the Honours year policy.

2. Removal of the section on the calculation of classifications in double degree programs. This section required the calculation of a separate GPA for each component program: our double degree programs are currently structured and configured as single awards and as such it is not possible to determine separate GPAs systemically. The need for further consideration of this issue has been noted and it will be included in upcoming policy work on undergraduate program architecture.

Some minor editorial changes are also proposed.

  • Awarding degrees with honours or pass with distinction policy (DOC 133KB, 7p)
