About us

The Chaplaincy is a team of trained multi-faith spiritual advisers who are available in any crisis situation or for companionship during your studies.

Who we are

We are a team of multi-faith Chaplains, representing Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, Islamic faiths and Integral Spirituality tradition.

What we do

We aim to help, guide, listen to and befriend those who hold a faith tradition as well as those who do not.

We offer:

  • a listening ear
  • pastoral care, regardless of religious affiliation
  • practical care in a crisis
  • support for emotional and spiritual issues
  • a place to ask spiritual questions
  • opportunities to connect with others and your faith community
  • social events and activities to enhance your wellbeing.

Our chaplains

Our chaplains are highly qualified and respected members of their respective denomination or faith group. They have been endorsed to be university chaplains by their faith communities, the University and the Council for Chaplains in Tertiary Institutions.

Talk with a chaplain

Our chaplains are available when you find yourself struggling with life events, studies, unexpected losses and conflicts, relationships or maybe you just have something on your mind that you need to talk through.

You do not need to be someone of faith to talk to a chaplain; we are here for all of the RMIT community. Talks with a chaplain are confidential and will not be passed on to others, unless there is a risk of harm to yourself, or others.

If you’d like to talk with a chaplain please drop in, call or email the Chaplaincy office.

If you know which chaplain you want to talk to let us know when you contact us. If you want to talk to someone, but don't know who, don’t worry we will help you.
