BlackBoard: The main computer software used by RMIT in the distributed learning system to provide an online teaching and learning environment.
Block Exemption: The granting of credit against a group of HE courses normally equivalent to 48 credit points or a multiple thereof. At a minimum, this represents a defined study period - semester or year - of an academic program. A Block Exemption may exclude some courses. Bridging Course: A course designed to equip students to take up a new course or program by covering the gaps between the students’ existing knowledge and skills and the course or program's prerequisites and assumed knowledge.
