About Academic Development Group
We are a team of educational and technical support staff working at Portfolio level to assist academic and teaching staff in all aspects of teaching and learning:
- We can assist with educational design of courses for delivery locally, offshore, online or through distance education such as Open University Australia.
- Our technical team can assist with all forms of electronic media – from basic Blackboard sites, through audio, video and multimedia. We also offer graphic design for print, CD and web-based resources.
- Our educational developers offer support for course and program renewal, review and accreditation, and can provide group and individual advice on ways to improve student satisfaction and learning outcomes.
- We can organise and facilitate professional development and training sessions in many aspects of face-to-face and online teaching.
- The group offers guidance to the Portfolio on innovations in educational technology, and provides a link to central University services such as the Learning and Teaching Development Group, the Distributed Learning System, and the Copyright Management Service.
- We can assist with project scoping and management, particularly in the coordination of resources for offshore students. We also provide educational staff development, and support for Teaching Awards.
- The Work Integrated Learning Unit and the Business Portfolio Website are also administered through the Academic Development Group.
