MBA 2006

Steven Leptos was one of the first students to complete the MBA program when it was introduced in 2006. “I had just finished my undergraduate degree in business entrepreneurship and found the challenge to complete a one year MBA too attractive to pass up. I knew my choices would broaden significantly and this would act as a springboard into the highly competitive corporate world. The one year program was perfect for me.”

Steven is an extremely motivated individual, interested in helping business leaders make strategic decisions that can improve their ability to better serve their shareholders and stakeholders. Since graduation he has joined Collins Anderson Management as a graduate strategy consultant and recently completed a service review project at the Rural City of Murray Bridge; whereby he undertook various market research duties, benchmarking activities, workshop facilitation and process mapping.

Ever the entrepreneur, Steven has also set up a consulting/business planning and implementation company (EIC – Excel International Consultants), which brings together a range of experts to undertake projects under the motto, “We Grow With our Clients” (www.exlic.com). The company recently completed a major expansion and franchising plan for Pets Wonderland.

“As a result of the MBA at RMIT University my opportunities and networks have grown exponentially. I found myself running a small consulting firm with four other talented MBA grads and securing first round interviews with companies that would previously never have considered me. Obviously the MBA alone isn’t going to get you the job, but it will help you to stand out from the crowd, get a foot in the door and build great career networks.”
