Prospective authors should note that these are merely suggestions and abstracts and papers that address other aspects of philosophy, professional ethics and applied ethics are most welcome.
The flexibility of the conference will allow papers and presentations from a diverse range of disciplines.
Several prominent Australian have agreed to be keynote speakers at AAPAE07.
Dr Barry Jones: former Hawke Government Minister, ALP President and currently the Vice-Chancellor's Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Chairman of Vision 2020 Australia.
Sentor Penny Wong: Shadow Minister since 2004, holding the portfolios of Public Administration and Accountability, Corporate Governance and Responsibility, and Workforce Participation.
Dean Newlan: Partner with McGrathNicol, leader of the firm's Forensic practice in Melbourne and national head of the fraud, integrity and risk management practice.
Associate Professor Stan Van Hoof will be facilitating a Socratic dialogue. On the morning of Wednesday 27th June as a lead into the AAPAE Conference
The maximum group for a dialogue is 12, so it is essential to book and pay the fee early. Please use the form supplied. The fee is AU$75 for the day, in addition to the conference fee. This includes dialogue facilitation along with morning and afternoon tea.

RMIT’s main campus is located in the Central Business District of the city of Melbourne, Australia’s sporting and cultural capital!
The venue for this years AAPAE conference are the facilities known as Storey Hall. The venue is also known as Building 16, located at 336-348 Swanston Street, Melbourne (near the corner of La Trobe Street). This area is serviced by trams and Melbourne Central train station..
Melbourne’s CBD is graced with a range of accomodation options from budget to 5 star hotels. The majority are within waling distance of the conference venue.
The IBIS hotel is conveniently located near the Victoria market and 5-10minutes walk from the conference venue. They have agreed to provide delegates with the Government room rate. All you need to do is let them know you are attending the AAPAE.
The Rydges Hotel Carlton, is located at 701 Swanstion Street approximatley 10-15 minute walk from RMIT.
As a predominantly city based University, the RMIT has limited student accomodation and no officials halls of residence.
Interstate and International visitors will most likely land at Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport which is located some 20 kilometres from the CBD.
A bus service- SKYBUS- operates on a regular 15-20 minute schedule from the major terminal to the city, with drop off points at the major hotels and the Southern Cross Railway station.
A taxi fare from the airport to the CBD will be approximately $40-50
Interstate visitors might choose to fly one of the budget carriers and find themselves at Avalon airport. This is located some 45 kilometres from Melbourne. A Shuttle service to the CBD is available from the airport.

Papers should be submitted to the Organising Committee with a clear indication as to whether they are to be refereed or non-refereed track.
Refereed track papers are to be submitted consistent with Australian Journal of Professional and Applied Ethics author Guidelines
Abstracts and full papers from the refereed track will be published in a Conference Proceedings CD in a manner compliant with DEST requirements
Authors should submit a short bio of no more than 100 words with their abstract or paper.
