Do you dread writing a resume? Not sure what to say or how to say it? Not sure where to start? Or are you looking for tips on how to improve an existing resume?
Look no further! Resume Express is the answer.
Resume Express is an online tutorial designed to help you develop your own resume writing skills.
The best way to complete the tutorial is sequentially i.e. from Module 1 through to Module 6. But you can pick and choose which modules you feel apply and just complete those. Module 4 is compulsory if you want your resume to be checked (see below for further details)
You might like to take this short quiz to test your knowledge about resumes. It may also help you to decide on what modules you need to complete in this tutorial.
PLEASE NOTE: To view the modules in Resume Express, you must login to the web page using your RMIT University NDS username (student ID) and password.
Resume Checking and Application Letter Checking
Do you need some advice on your resume or application letter?
RMIT Career Development and Employment aims to assist you in the process of making a professional job application. We ask that you follow these steps:
- Work through the Resume Express tutorial or Application Express tutorial if you are submitting a letter. You must complete at least Module 4 of Resume Express before we will check your resume. You can choose the relevant modules of Application Express for assistance with letters or application forms; we recommend Modules 1 and 2 as a minimum.
- Complete the application checking form.
- Email your resume and/or letter in Word format together with the Application Checking form to applicationcheck@rmit.edu.au
- A reviewer will check your application and give you constructive written feedback.
- Turnaround times will vary. Please understand that at times of heavy demand (e.g. graduate recruitment period) you may wait for up to five working days.
