RMIT Spiritual Centre //

The Spiritual Centre is unlike any other place within the University. It reflects the University's recognition that the RMIT community contains people who may or may not be committed to faith traditions and expresses the University's honouring of freedom of religion.

The Spiritual Centre offers a place of wholeness and serenity, a place for communal reflection and individual meditation, a place that respects the search for the ineffable and transcendent, and celebrates the oneness and unity of life.

At times the Spiritual Centre is a contemplative place like a church or a mosque, a temple or a synagogue; at other times, it is a place for multi-faith activities, where communal rituals and ceremonies reflecting on national and international events can find a worthy home and meditative focus. At all times, it is a place that encourages and inspires personal reflection, elevates the inner spirit and honours the highest aspirations of the human spirit and the noblest traditions of the world faiths.

RMIT is proud to offer such a unique and special place to the whole university community and beyond.

We wish you well,

Robert Whalley
Senior Chaplain
