Course Description

This course examines the processes of design management and documentation and how these impact on the achievement of overall project objectives. This course will develop your understanding of the various elements which contribute to the project design process and you will build and apply your knowledge of how the project design process impacts on the ability of the project manager to deliver effective project outcomes. The objectives of this course are to develop your ability to apply quality assurance and quality control systems to produce a quality project plahe course will also develop your knowledge of quality management and its role in successful project management. You will critically engage in a range topics including:
 

  • Project management quality standards
  • Human Resources Management
  • Developing organisational plans
     


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

In this course you will develop the following program learning outcomes

  • PLO1: Determine and apply knowledge of complex project management theory, principles and best practice to applied projects to contribute to the profession and discipline of project management
  • PLO2: Critically analyse synthesise and reflect on project management theory and developments, both local and international, to extend and challenge knowledge and practice
  • PLO3: Professionally communicate and justify project scope, design, implementation, strategy and /or outcomes, engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders across a range of industry sectors
  • PLO4: Apply the specialist knowledge and technical skills required to creatively address the diverse needs of project stakeholders, formulating innovative solutions and demonstrating independent and sound decision making related to your professional practice and the discipline


Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  1. CLO1: Define and discuss quality objectives in relation to diverse industry projects
  2. CLO2: Apply project management strategies to address stakeholder requirements
  3. CLO3: Employ project life cycle and process management strategies to enhance project quality outcomes
  4. CLO4: Apply quality management processes to produce a management plan which is responsive to client needs
