Course Description

In this course you will undertake and be responsible for a production role in the development of a screen production, applying the broad skills and knowledge you have developed throughout the Screen and Media Production program. You will be working as part of a team and will engage with a client or partnership to produce a media work according to industry principles and practices.

Work Integrated Learning
This is the designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for AD017 Associate Degree in Screen and Media Production. This course includes a work integrated learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:

  • demonstrate a broad theoretical and technical knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts of screen production
  • interpret and analyse a client brief for a screen production, and plan the design, technical and logistical requirements
  • apply a range of knowledge and skills to produce screen media content
  • work as part of a multidisciplinary team to create a screen production
  • seek and respond to feedback, integrating suggestions into your own work

As this course involves work integrated learning you will receive feedback from industry practitioners on your production.

Feedback will be given on all assessment tasks.
