Course Description

This course will equip you with resources, analytical skills and industry knowledge to facilitate transition into the work place. You will explore the business of Animation and Interactive Media and ways to promote and present yourself to industry. This will help to position you to begin your professional practice, whether it is in the highly competitive global industry setting, or showing work in festivals, galleries or online.

Upon the successful completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Investigate and analyse global industry requirements for employment in Animation and Interactive Media.
  • Research and evaluate current and emerging pathways into a range of industry settings, locally and internationally.
  • Develop strategies and materials to promote your creative work.
  • Conceptualise, promote and manage exhibitions or events, to showcase creative work to diverse audiences.
  • Critically reflect on your professional development needs and identify ways to address these.

You will be engaged in learning that involves a range of activities both face-to-face and online such as lectures, tutorials, group and class discussion, class activities. You will research current industry trends and practices through a variety of sources such as guest lecturers, individual research, and industry and cultural events.
