Course Description

In this course, you will work as a part of a small project group under the guidance of an appropriate member of staff to develop a research question within the context of the existing literature, form a research hypothesis, design and undertake research experiments to challenge the hypothesis and present the background and findings of your project. Presentation formats (group or individual as appropriate) may include written literature review, oral presentation, poster presentation, individual oral review (viva voce) and a research paper suitable for publication in an appropriate journal. In these challenges you will be supported by regular meetings with your research supervisor, building upon the research methodology skills introduced in semester 1.

Please note that if you take this course for a bachelor honours program, your overall mark in this course will be one of the course marks that will be used to calculate the weighted average mark (WAM) that will determine your award level.
