Credit Points: 12.00

Important Information:

Additional rules apply to this course. They are:

  1. You must enrol in the Global Strategy and Leadership course with CPA Australia and provide a copy of the enrolment confirmation via the online form before you will be permitted to enrol in this course. When this is received, admissions will activate the online enrolment function.

  2. The Global Strategy and Leadership examination is a hurdle assessment for this course and you must successfully complete the examination in addition to achieving 50 percent or more for all assessment results combined to successfully complete the course. All six CPA examinations listed in the RMIT program structure must be passed as a condition for the award of the degree – MC260 Master of Professional Accounting (CPA Australia Extension).

  3. If you fail the CPA Global Strategy and Leadership examination, you must re-enrol in the failed Global Strategy and Leadership course with CPA Australia and provide a copy of your enrolment confirmation via the online form. Once enrolment confirmation is received, your grade for the RMIT CPA Global Strategy and Leadership course will be changed from Fail (NH) to Supplementary Exam state (SUP). You must re-sit the CPA Global Strategy and Leadership examination in the next CPA examination session. Failure to advise the University of your re-enrolment in the Global Strategy and Leadership course with CPA Australia by the next CPA Enrolment deadline will result in a Fail (NH) for the RMIT course. Refer to the CPA Australia website for exact enrolment deadlines.

  4. If you pass the Global Strategy and Leadership examination in the next examination sitting, you will be awarded a Supplementary Pass (SP). If you fail the Global Strategy and Leadership examination in your second attempt, you will be awarded a Fail (NH) for the course and have the following options:
    1. Re-enrol in the course with RMIT and CPA Australia in the next semester and complete all assessment tasks (confirmation of enrolment with CPA Australia required); or
    2. Apply for a program change into the MC194 Master of Professional Accounting.

  5. If you defer the Global Strategy and Leadership examination, you must submit a copy of your deferral approval from CPA Australia via the online form. In this instance, you will be graded SUP for the semester, and you must complete the CPA Australia examination at the next immediate offering. If you successfully complete the examination, you will receive a Supplementary Pass (SP) grade. If you do not provide a copy of the deferral approval from CPA Australia or fail the Global Strategy and Leadership examination, you will receive a Fail (NH) grade for the RMIT CPA course and your options are outlined in point 4 above.

Please note, if you are taking your second attempt at CPA examination and you do not have a current enrolment with RMIT, you will need to provide a copy of CPA examination results via this online form.
