Course Description
This course is an introduction to the principles and industry standards of digital video, focusing on how digital video technologies are used to create and deliver content across multi- platform applications. You will explore digital video production practice, and investigate how to integrate digital video technologies into systems that align with project requirements.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
You will be assessed on your development against the following Program Learning Outcomes:
- Apply theoretical knowledge, conceptual skills and production techniques to the development of digital media solutions for communications problems.
- Demonstrate creativity, critical thinking and innovation when identifying and solving problems in diverse contexts within the discipline
- Work with others in a range of roles and contexts, demonstrating cultural, environmental and social awareness and ethical and reflective practice.
Upon the successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Apply theory and technical skills to capture and produce high quality digital video.
- Discuss and apply industry standards in digital media to implement integrated audio-visual systems.
- Investigate and assess the most appropriate technology for the development of digital video productions.
- Produce media that can be distributed across a broad range of platforms in collaboration with others.
