Course Description

In this course you will be introduced to diverse design strategies. Through these you will explore and develop your own strategies with guidance from your studio supervisors, to propose, research and articulate original and independent fashion design concepts.

This course extends your professional and critical knowledge of a selected range of technical, creative, cultural and professional issues related to fashion practice.

You will develop the ability to establish your own program of fashion study that can best convey your particular interests and capabilities. In addition, you will develop the ability to trial and integrate understanding into your design proposals, combined with the communication techniques necessary to demonstrate this understanding of your practice in relation to the general fashion discourse.

You will devise your own contract and program of study to suit your particular investigation of fashion and apply advanced design skills to resolve complex ideas from concept formation through to design prototypes.
