Course Description

Health services are and will increasingly be delivered differently in digital societies, including through different channels such as virtual care and are using a far wider range of data, information and knowledge to inform practice. Digital Health Service Delivery takes a practical view on how clinicians – doctors, nurses, allied and complementary health professionals – embed digital health into patient engagement and the delivery of healthcare in different settings and for different communities. You will appraise factors associated with safe and effective digital health delivery, including related ethical, cultural and socio-technical issues.

Topics include investigating the explosion in consumer health technologies and it’s the associated implications for healthcare, examining the capabilities required for clinicians and organisations to effectively and safely deliver care in digitally enabled settings, and formulating a view of the future of health and healthcare.
