Course Description

This course provides you with the knowledge of the current and future landscape of financial technology around the world in the era of digital finance. The financial technology industry is booming and brings both challenges and opportunities. You will develop the skills to evaluate the implications of financial technology on market structure, financial stability and regulations. You will analyse the emerging business models driven by advancements in financial technology. A broad range of emerging services and products will be explored, including digital payments, crowdfunding, high frequency trading and the role of artificial intelligence.  You will also critically evaluate the challenges, disruptions and opportunities that arise from digital transformation in the financial markets.
