Course Description

In this course you will cover the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to run cabling for the connection of extra low voltage (ELV) networking equipment and devices.

The course includes the identification of ELV cabling, cabling skills including runs, connections and terminations, testing of circuits, use of hand tools and following work practices that satisfy electrical and telecommunication principles for safety and functionality.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
