Course Description

Interpreters are now able to offer their services, via communication media, to remote and rural areas. In this Unit you will review the technology available for interpreting situations, the potential impact of the technology on the interpreting assignment and its outcomes, and the management skills required to adjust delivery, taking account of the constraints and advantages of the technology.

Overview of Assessment

For online groups - The assessment tasks for this unit will include a quiz to assess understanding of underpinning knowledge and also demostration of skills and knowledge in simulated telephone and video interpreting sessions.
