In this course you will explore and use specialised imaging technologies and their application in photo imaging practice to better understand imagery as part of graphic design and visual communication.

On  completion of this course you will have the skills and knowledge to:

  • create a body of photo images experimenting with, and applying, specialised imaging technologies around a specific theme or subject matter
  • document specialised imaging processes for use in future contexts
  • evaluate own performance for improvement

You will be able to:

  • describe a range of specialised imaging technologies, their attributes and their applications
  • outline the history of the development of photo imaging technologies
  • explain the opportunities offered by imaging technology to represent the subject matter in different ways
  • explain the health and safety considerations associated with imaging technology.
