Course Description
This unit covers recognising common materials used in engineering, assisting in the selection of a material for a specific application, and using test results to evaluate the properties of materials.
Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities
MEM12024A - Perform computations
The delivery and assessment guidelines allow the assessment of prerequisites to occur concurrently with higher level units i.e. units require pre-requisites. In accordance with these guidelines, students will not be deemed 'competent' in the higher-level unit until they are deemed competent in the prerequisite unit.
Therefore, students must be deemed competent in the pre-requisite unit MEM12024A prior to being deemed competent in MEM30025A.
