Experience
Prior to joining the University, Gary gained substantial audit experience in a variety of senior internal and external audit roles including Senior Audit Manager with the Victorian Auditor-General's Office, Chief Internal Auditor of Melbourne Water and Manager Internal Audit Services with KPMG. He has also worked for the Australian National Audit Office and has had line management experience in corporate accounting and administration in the private sector.

Experience
John has 17 years audit and accounting experience. He has held a variety of accounting and audit positions in aviation, electricity generation, banking, insurance and superannuation. More recently he has been a Project Accountant in the computer industry and a Business Manager in a private secondary school.

David Blunden, Associate Director, Internal Audit

Experience
Prior to joining the University, David was a consultant trading as Burthorne Associates completing assignments in strategic planning, management and environmental systems development and review. He was Manager Strategy, Water Supply Division, Melbourne Water, where he co-ordinated Business Plans for the Division and its Sections, developed a marketing plan and print media analysis. Senior Environmental Auditor, (Seconded), Melbourne Water where he conducted a range of reviews including control self assessment of environmental compliance. Internal Audit Supervisor (Mgt), Melbourne Water where he was team leader or member for a wide range of corporate systems reviews. Internal Auditor (Seconded), State Electricity Commission to review management of corporate spare equipment. David started his career in civil engineering within Melbourne Water. He has published a range of technical papers, articles and symposia presentations in the engineering, environmental and internal audit fields.
