About the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Unit

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Unit has four staff:

      • Unit Head- Stuart McFarlane
      • Education Liaison Officer- Simon Graham
      • Planning Development Officer- Emma Sherry
      • Administrative Officer- Carlie Groves
 
The unit's facilities include:
      • student study area; 
      • student computers with Internet access;
      • photocopier;
      • kitchen facilities (tea, coffee, fridge and microwave);
      • noticeboards (job board, what’s on, etc);
      • and a reference library for use by all RMIT students and staff.
The unit provides assistance and referral in the following areas:
      • RMIT enrolments;
      • Abstudy;
      • housing;
      • finance;
      • disability;
      • general counselling;
      • health;
      • scholarships;
      • tutorial support through the government Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs, ATAS;
      • and a range of other community services and relevant assistance.
