Now more than ever people are choosing to live in cities and this trend is rapidly increasing. Melbourne’s population is forecast to hit 5 million before 2030. This present challenges and opportunities for planning, designing and managing our cities.
The best entries will be short listed, with winners announced at the Urban Futures Awards ceremony at the RMIT University City Campus on: Wednesday 5 September 2012, 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm.

Entrants must be currently studying year 10, 11 or 12 VCE or IB (in Victoria) in 2012.
Entry is open from 1 May 2012 and closes 12.00am midnight, 26 August 2012. Entry form and image must be emailed to urbanfuturescomp@rmit.edu.au
Photos or images and text must be your own work. Images must be submitted as a JPG (save/name file as your name). Text describing your entry must be entered on the entry form. The maximum size of the file emailed as the entry is not to exceed 1MB. Only one entry per person is permitted.
Entries will be judged by RMIT staff (or nominee).
This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in the competition.
All category winners will be notified by email by 1 September 2012.
First prize and runners up category winners will be announced at the awards ceremony.
Prizes will be available for collection at the awards ceremony on Wednesday 5 September 2012. The total prize pool is $550. Unclaimed prizes will go into the prize pool for the 2013 competition.
By entering his competition, you grant permission for competition images and text to be used for marketing and promotional purposes by RMIT University.
