Dr Martyn Hook is Professor of Architecture at RMIT University in Melbourne and a Director of multi award winning iredale pedersen hook architects.

It's a studio practice based in Melbourne and Perth dedicated to appropriate design of effective sustainable buildings with a responsible environmental and social agenda. Prior to his appointment as Acting Head of the School of Art he was Head of the School of Architecture & Design for an extended 10-month period whilst Professor Richard Blythe was on research leave in Europe.
Martyn is the Director of the RMIT School of Architecture & Design Postgraduate Program in Europe, the Graduate Research Conference (GRC) EU, which gathers a collection of European based practitioners to engage in research through design practice. He is also developing the Asian GRC which will commence in Vietnam in 2012. He has lectured internationally on Australian architecture and has been Guest Professor at TU Wien, Innsbruck and Wismar, and Visiting Critic at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UC London, the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow, Sheffield University, the University of Brighton and Westminster University London.
