Can the Ukrainian situation ignite a new Cold War?
A free seminar presented by the EU Centre at RMIT.
Dr Walter Zaryckyj will reflect on the way in which the current situation in Ukraine has arisen and sketch its principal features as they appear at the moment. Among the questions he will address is whether the Ukrainian situation can ignite a new Cold War.
Dr Zaryckyj will examine the significance of Ukraine to the United States, the EU, and the Russian Federation. He will consider scenarios for Ukraine's future and suggest why they should interest Australia as a strategic ally of the United States and the EU.
