Kevin Davis is a part time Professor of Finance at the University of Melbourne and Monash University. His primary research interests are in the areas of financial institutions and markets, financial engineering and corporate finance.
He is a member of the Australian Competition Tribunal and a Director of SIRCA. He was the inaugural Director of the Melbourne (now Australian) Centre for Financial Studies from July 2005-December 2008 and is currently Research Director of the Australian Centre for Financial Studies.
In 2013, Professor Davis was appointed to the Commonwealth Government's Financial System (Murray) Inquiry panel, which was "charged with examining how the financial system could be positioned to best meet Australia’s evolving needs and support Australia’s economic growth".
