Prue Acton presents Snapshots as part of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival's Cultural Program Project Series.
RMIT graduate, Prue Acton started her signature creations at the age of nineteen and within a few years was the toast of the fashion world.
Hailed as the ‘Peter Pan’ of the Australian fashion industry, Acton had an innate ability to be contemporary and stay attuned to prevailing lifestyles for more than three decade
From the mod style minidresses of the 1960s through to the power suits of the 1980s, Snapshots explores the evolving style of Australia’s golden girl of fashion.

Melway Reference 67 F10 All day on street parking is available and a public car park can be found adjacent to The Gallery on Wilson Street.
The Gallery is walking distance from both North Brighton and Middle Brighton train stations (Sandringham line). Approximate train travel time from Flinders Street Central Business District (CBD) to North Brighton station is 20 minutes. Both stations are around a 10 minute walk from The Gallery.
The following bus lines stop at Brighton Town Hall/Wilson St: 811 - Dandenong - Brighton via Heatherton Road, Springvale 812 - Dandenong - Brighton via Parkmore Shopping Centre 922 - Southland SC - St Kilda Station 626 - Middle Brighton - Chadstone via McKinnon, Carnegie.
