Hannah Rosa Oellinger and Manfred Rainer are two Austrian artists who support their arts practice by working in a variety of creative roles—as camera hands, editors and designers.
Their collaboration is inspired by their surroundings and fuelled by their passion for their work. For them, art practice is flexible—it is freeing—it is leisure—and it is deeply personal.
In Melbourne Hannah and Manfred will produce an essayistic short film that investigates whether this mode of practice could be used as a role model for other kinds of work. By observing their our own residency stay and critically discussing their own glorified notions of art they will construct a series of staged sequences and conversations and collage these with animations, drawings and music.
