Presented by UTS Transforming Cultures & European Union (EU) Centre at RMIT in conjunction with the Contemporary European Studies Association of Australia (CESAA)
“The EU is much more resilient than is imagined, both economically and politically. In the past two years, in reaction to the economic crisis, the EU has taken tough measures to stem the immediate crisis as well as having laid the foundations so that Europe is much stronger against any possible recurrence, especially as regards the Euro.”
Andrea Nicolaj is First Counsellor at the Delegation of the European Union to Australia and New Zealand, and has worked in the External Relations side of the EU service for more than 15 years.
