David Allen is a Professor of Information Management at the University of Leeds, an internationally ranked top 100 University and ranked top 10 in the United Kingdom.
Director and Founder of the AIMTech Research Centre
David is the Director and Founder of the AIMTech Research Centre, one of the most successful research centres in Europe on Information Systems and Information Management. His recent projects have focused on information practices in high velocity environments and understanding the information sharing practices and innovation process related to the development of novel new technologies. Much of his work is undertaken in interdisciplinary teams with whom he has generated over $20 million of research funding. He has published in many A* ranked journal articles, including in the leading Information Systems journal MIS Quarterly and other internationally leading journals such as the European Journal of Information Systems, the Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, and the Information Systems Journal. In addition, his research has featured on the BBC and the Wall Street Journal.
David is visiting RMIT from January 9 until 20 January, 2017. He will be located in the School of BITL and sponsored via the RMIT Foundation International Visiting Fellowships and supported by Centre for People, Organisation and Work (Digital Business, Work and Life theme).

Publication advice and development
David Allen is a Senior Editor on an upcoming Special Issue for the Journal for the American Society on Information Science and Technology (A*) in 2017 on Information Behaviour and will be able to give advice on how to develop papers for this Special Issue. He is also available for advice on preparing papers and writing with RMIT staff for top Information Management and Information Systems journals (e.g. MIS Quarterly, European Journal of Information Systems).
