Performprint will take their work outside RMIT Gallery and into a laneway for a live art performance featuring a skater, block ink and carved skateboard wheels.
Performprint push the boundaries of not only print but artist and audience interaction.
The collaborative duo who are exhibiting in the Out of the Matrix exhibition at RMIT Gallery (6 May - 11 June), blend theories on copy based technologies through print informed works and ideas of future human scenarios into live durational performance work.
Performprint is the duo's most significant collaborative project as it encompasses the full spectrum of both their print and performance practices respectively.
The duo behind Performprint both have independent practices in visual art. They have worked alongside each other as independent artists on past projects and these proved to be very fruitful. It was from this history that they decided to work collaboratively and develop a live art practice together.
