Fashion and Textile Merchandising

Our Fashion and Textile Merchandising programs deal with product development, merchandising, and frontline management. They are delivered either at the RMIT Brunswick campus, or in the workplace.

Outstanding features of the Merchandising and Management programs include: work integrated learning experiences; holistic assessment; an industry speakers program; an industry and practical experience placement program; and exchange scholarships.

Diploma graduates may further their learning by enrolling in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Fashion and Textiles Merchandising), and later in Masters and PhD programs.

Graduates work in a diverse range of areas within the textile, clothing and fashion industries. Employment prospects include: product developers, assistant buyers, sales representatives, range coordinators, store managers, service assistants, visual merchandisers, marketing, design assistants, quality assurance officers, and production assistants.
