Folio Preparation

The School of Fashion and Textiles has an extensive range of Folio Preparation short courses. The courses are conducted at the City and Brunswick Campuses at a range of times to suit both secondary students and mature age participants – during school holidays, on Saturdays and weeknights.

These courses are for Year 11, Year 12 and mature age students who wish to enhance the folios they are preparing for entry into TAFE or university courses. Participants gain valuable insights into the industry, course and selection procedures related to their chosen field of study.

Towards the end of the year many of these Folio Preparation Courses fill rapidly as students rush to prepare folios for course admission. To avoid the disappointment of not gaining a place in the course of your choice we recommend choosing an earlier program wherever possible.

Secondary school students are advised to undertake their Folio Preparation course early in their studies – during Year 11, or during the first half of Year 12. Students who do this are often able to apply the techniques learnt in the course to their schoolwork and so continue to enhance their folio content over time.

Note that participation in a Folio Preparation short course is no guarantee of acceptance into any RMIT program.
