Footwear

The Footwear Production program is unique in providing footwear training enabling graduates to gain a range of skills used in the footwear industry and the custom made footwear sector. The skills gained in this program will enable you to produce working patterns; understand correct use of components in footwear construction, leather characteristics and synthetic materials use and construction of custom made footwear. Specific emphasis is placed on developing technical and practical skills in producing footwear including, ladies sandals, evening shoes and more.

Skills acquired in this program include pattern cutting, production techniques, quality control, and Australian Standards of Footwear and OHS procedures. Students are encouraged to be creative and practical within the Footwear Production program.
