Purpose of the Program

The Bachelor of Business (Honours) is a one-year program designed to further develop the knowledge and skills of your chosen discipline with a focus on research. An RMIT Honours degree provides a distinctive competitive advantage in the global job market and offers a pathway for further research and learning into Research Masters and PhD programs.

During this program, you will deepen your knowledge of a key area of business by focusing on a current business topic. You will also sharpen your analytical and research skills through coursework and the completion of an Honours Research Thesis. You will design an independent research study, employ research methods and techniques, provide insights into complex business issues or problems, and plan, execute and present an Honours Research Thesis under the supervision of a research experienced academic.

The current credit pathways for College of Business and Law programs can be found at www.rmit.edu.au/study-with-us/applying-to-rmit/local-student-applications/pathways/advanced-standing. These are subject to change.
