“Meet and Greet” service for new students – 2nd to 27th February, 2009

Staff from the Student Services Group will host information sessions to assist newly arrived students with useful information such as:

  • opening bank accounts,
  • obtaining a tax file number,
  • housing information, and
  • how to search for accommodation

Personal Assistance Session - Monday to Friday, 10am - 11am

The Meet and Greet program will offer personal assistance sessions by the staff from the International Student Information and Support (ISIS) team providing information on:

  • Living in Melbourne
  • How to obtain a tax file number
  • How to open a bank account
  • How to use the public transport system
  • Other essential information

  • Types of off-campus accommodation
  • How to find your preferred accommodation
  • Additional resources to assist you in your search
  • Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant

  • Help you to access the RMIT housing database
  • Assist you to contact accommodation providers
  • Use of other resources to find your accommodation.
