Social work, community and human services professions incorporate a number of different activities all of which seek to redress social inequality and injustice.

Want to work with people? Are you passionate about social justice?

Develop the skills and understanding to combat social inequality. Prepare to join a sector filled with variety, which might see you formulating and implementing social policies, participating in social research or managing and developing programs to assist community groups, individuals and families.

Work placements, field education and internship opportunities in many of the programs will provide you with valuable hands-on experience and prepare you to enter a diverse and rewarding career.

‘As an international student, I had no idea which university I should study social work at. After talking with colleagues and doing some research, it was clear that RMIT was the best choice. With great elective courses, work placement opportunities at renowned organisations, and wonderful support from the teachers, I feel confident pursuing my dream job at the Department of Human Services.’
