Our future is dependent on maintaining the diversity and complexity of the biosphere. But what is being done to prevent further degradation of the world’s environment, which could threaten the health of the biosphere?
The International Centre for Environmental and Bioethics (ICEB) was established to develop ethical norms for bioethics and environmental issues. It is a virtual centre which will provide a vehicle, through this website, and our online Environmental Bioethics programme, for the free dissemination of ideas, news, concerns and case studies about the ethical management of the biosphere.
The ICEB was established in 2005 to harness a wide diversity of opinion and knowledge to help solve environmental problems. In 2009, the ICEB established a formal link with the Commission on Biological Education. The Centre is supported by RMIT University, The International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS) and The International Society of Zoological Sciences (ISZS).
