University Events

University Events is responsible for the planning, co-ordination, implementation and publicising of events hosted by RMIT University. The delivery of a range of high quality events is a key element in realising and maintaining the university’s high profile in local, national and international communities. Events such as visits, seminars, public lectures, functions, openings, launches and conferences raise the public profile and showcase RMIT.

University Events provides advice on the various aspects of event management including:

• Venue selection and negotiations
• Entertainment
• Technical support
• RMIT corporate image
• Event décor and design
• Banners
• Food and beverage

• On-site event staff
• Event management strategies
• Event communications, public relations and media
• Key stakeholder management including client and committee relationships
• Merchandise and corporate gifts

Additionally, the office provides accurate and effective advice on the protocols that may surround launches, functions and other promotional events to staff across the University.
