Aged care is often associated with stainless steel, white walls and a hospital-like feel. Rathdowne Place, an innovative new centre in Carlton, Melbourne is changing all that.
The centre's interior has blended accessibility requirements into an aesthetically pleasing design that is both functional and beautiful.
Geraldine Maher, a Principal at Jackson Architecture who studied Interior Design at RMIT, spoke with Talking Design's Stephen Crafti about her role in this and other interesting design projects.
