Public Relations students from RMIT University have been working with an international beer brand and Anaconda Outdoor as part of a Work Integrated Learning project.
RMIT students Aaron Oehms, Liana Tranis, Kylie Harding, Flora Benjamin with Grant Flannery from the White Agency, Sydney.
The Advanced Diploma of Business (Public Relations) students. worked closely with the organisations under the guidance of Alain Grossbard, Teacher, Vocational Business Education, to provide integrated marketing communications plans to help find and grow markets and introduce new products.
Anaconda Outdoor, one of Australia’s largest camping and outdoor adventure retailers wanted a plan to help them target Gen Y consumers.
Meray Azar, eCommerce and Customer Care Manager, Anaconda said: "We were very impressed with the hard work that the students put in and we are already looking to integrate some of their concepts and ideas into our PR and marketing campaign.
“We have also offered one student a full-time online coordinator position with Anaconda.“
The international beer brand was looking to introduce a new beer into the Australian market during 2014. Students presented their recommendations to the White Agency, who are representing the brand.
Grant Flannery, Senior Lead Digital Strategist, the White Agency, said: “The level of work provided from the students was second to none; all elements were very well thought through and delivered with a high level of professionalism. I have proposed some of the ideas to the brand and have had a great response so far.
“The high calibre presentations resulted in the offer of potential internships at The White Agency in Sydney for four students.“
