The inaugural edition of the online RMIT Alumni Magazine has been launched at a sold-out "Fashion In Conversation" event.
More than 400 alumni attended the event at Storey Hall last week, which included a discussion between RMIT alumnus Graeme Lewsey, CEO of Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, and RMIT's Deputy Head of Fashion and Textiles, Associate Professor Karen Webster, followed by the launch of the magazine.
Officially launched by RMIT alumnus Toni Maticevski, who appears on the cover, the free online magazine is an innovative new platform for the University community.
The inaugural issue celebrates RMIT's visionary alumni and features interviews with successful alumni who have realised their dreams.
Toni Maticevski, who completed a Bachelor of Fashion with Honours in 1998, describes his journey from studying at RMIT to establishing his eponymous label.
One of Australia's most celebrated designers, Mr Maticevski was an RMIT Outstanding Alumni Award winner for 2013.
Other features in the RMIT Alumni Magazine include a discussion on leadership with alumnus Ryan Lee, CEO of Singaporean tech company XMI, which produces the highly sought-after portable speakers, x-mini.
Entrepreneur Natalie Bloom, who completed a Bachelor of Arts (Visual Communication) in 1992 and was RMIT's Alumnus of the Year in 2012, is also featured.

Many alumni were involved in the production of the magazine, including photographers Janelle Low, Emma Phillips and Bobbi Fabian, to help produce a publication that is an authentic voice for the University's 300,000 alumni.
The magazine also includes opportunities for alumni to connect to RMIT through mentoring, supporting scholarships, offering internships to students and more.
The launch was held at the close of the Melbourne Fashion Festival and celebrated RMIT's wide influence and success in Melbourne fashion.
