RMIT is investing in the growth of academic staff numbers with 88 extra staff recruited to continuing roles across the University in 2014.
RMIT is boosting academic staff numbers across the University.
The academic staff have been recruited across the Colleges of Business, Design and Social Context and Science, Engineering and Health.
There are also more than 100 academic positions planned or currently being recruited.
RMIT Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Gill Palmer, said the University's focus on academic recruitment will ensure key teaching and research requirements are met now and into the future.
"The deliberate move to increase academic staff numbers is in line with RMIT's long-term strategy to lift the University's research profile and reduce student-to-staff ratios," Professor Palmer said.
"We are committed to growing our academic workforce and have made significant budget provisions to do this."
