Melbourne’s newest graduating students will take over the city streets today – Wednesday 16 December – at RMIT University’s annual Graduation Parade.
Led by the Bad Brigade band, more than 4000 graduating students, alumni and staff in academic gowns and mortarboards will parade down Swanston Street from RMIT to Federation Square, with more than 7000 guests and supporters lining the route.
The colourful, vibrant parade will be followed by Australia’s biggest graduation event at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium in the evening, where more than 7000 graduates will celebrate their achievements in front of nearly 30,000 family members, friends, and RMIT staff.
