  • Blackboard Issue Monday 6 October 06/10/2008
    If you receive the message “Blackboard learning System Authentication Failed” when you try to long into your Blackboard unit, please notify the IT Helpdesk . The technical team is currently working on rectifying the problem.

    Did you know that a range of informative how to guides are available on the Learning Hub website? Teaching staff can use these guides to expand their knowledge of BlackBoard, and gain greater functionality from Discussion Boards, Gradebook and Blogs and Wikis, among other tools.
  • Tip for better use of Blackboard - Discussion Forum 07/07/2008
    Blackboard shells are generally created with a discussion forum. This discussion forum may be moderated by a staff member or it may be un-moderated. For all discussion forums the onus is on students to behave appropriately and to make considered and responsible comments on the forum. Refer to Guidelines for the use and moderation of Blackboard discussion forums for details.
  • Tips for better use of BlackBoard - Assignments 27/05/2008
    When submitting assignments in BlackBoard, students have a single submission attempt. If you have submitted a file other than your final attempt of your assignment, please get in touch with your teaching staff who will be able to clear your attempt. This will allow you to resubmit your final copy.
  • Tips for better use of Blackboard - Back Button 26/05/2008
    The new version of Blackboard does not have a visible back button, but you can use ALT ← to return to a previous page. Similarly ALT → will take you to the next page. You can print a Blackboard page using CTRL P
  • Offshore (including SIM) and OUA students - important information 02/04/2008
    RMIT Offshore semester 1 (used for offshore programs including SIM) and RMIT Summer Semester (used for OUA Study Period 1) have end dates of 31 March 2008, even though for many students, classes are continuing. Students studying in these courses can access their material through the previous semester course registrations link in the Learning Hub. The problem that caused this is being addressed, but this method of access with remain for the current semester.
  • Learning Hub Portal upgrade 14/02/2008
    The Learninghub Portal application was upgraded to version 1.40 on Thursday, 14 February 2008.
  • The New Learning Hub 21/01/2008
    You will notice many changes when you log on to the new Learning Hub. The new Learning Hub will look different and will display different information.
  • Learning Hub Shutdown 21/01/2008
    The RMIT Learning Hub and all associated tools will be shutdown from 7:00 am Tuesday, 22 January until 9:00am Friday, 25 January while the Learning Hub is being replaced.
