People and Culture manage a comprehensive and multi-faceted Induction Program consisting of five components:
People and Culture have recently enhanced RMIT’s induction process through the development of the website: Discover RMIT for New Staff. This website provides a comprehensive introduction to RMIT resources, policies and understanding of staff rights and responsibilities for new staff.
The revised induction process places greater emphasis on quality induction for new staff at the local area, with People and Culture providing support to managers as required. New staff are required to access and read the Policy and Procedures section within ‘Discovering RMIT for New Staff’ and complete an acknowledgement form within ESS, or provide a hard copy form to People and Culture. This information is recorded within SAP and will be reported and reviewed on a quarterly basis.
People and Culture are available to provide consultancy advice in setting up induction specific to your area and are also able to conduct a presentation to managers and/or their staff to explain RMIT’s induction process.
