Economics and Finance - Bachelor of Business (Honours)

Program Code - Title: BH039 - Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance) (Honours)

Campus

City campus

Description

An honours program may be undertaken by high achieving students. Preparation for honours may be discussed during the early stages of the degree, but current students may only apply for the honours program at the end of second year. RMIT Economics and Finance students accepted into honours at the end of second year will be exempted from the third year Work Integrated Learning requirements. Alternatively, the honours program may be taken as an extra year of study after the bachelor degree.

Prospective students should discuss their plans with the Honours Coordinator in second year, or prior to making an application. The selection process may include an interview.

Class sizes are small and the program is rigorous. Research, analytical and communication skills are developed for superior job market preparation, or further postgraduate studies. A research project/thesis in the student’s area of interest or expertise is a significant component of the program.
