This accredited program is available to International students only and is recognized for entry to diploma and degree programs by Australian universities and TAFE colleges and international higher education institutions. Foundations Studies programs are designed to help international students prepare and qualify for further studies.
The Certificate in Foundation Studies (Art, Design & Communication) prepares international students for entry and further study in the areas of advertising, photography, fashion design, fine art, graphic art, media studies, multimedia, product design, screen print design, video production, visual arts, visual merchandising, electronic publishing, textiles, clothing and fashion.
This program is available full-time only
Three annual intakes:
February intake (10 months in duration)
June intake - Accelerated Program (8 months in duration)
August intake – Special, Fast-Tracked Program (6 months in duration)
The Certificate in Foundation Studies (Art, Design & Communication) is a pathway to RMIT university and diploma programs. Interviews and entry tests are required for most design programs.Students are given tuition and special classes to prepare for these interviews.
The Foundation Studies program specialises in providing international students with the assistance and direction required to adjust to university educational expectations and standards. The Foundation Studies staff are experienced in providing specialised language teaching and familiarisation with the academic conventions required at university level
